Where Are You?
Where to begin? It has to be right now. This moment how I feel. Dealing with the world at whole spinning together living and dying at the same time. I write to escape that current in the time I’m writing. To step back from my hectic life and let the thoughts just come out. So much ink. Probably the reason I’m going to get this going is because I’ve got 5 100-page books for the year of 2009 and it’s hard to find blank pages. The amount of information I am processing is enlightening and heavy on my mind.
I’m listening to 16 bars of something I started last night in Logic 9. I was listening to Thelonious Monk early this morning at work. Monk playing will always ease me. And we know I need to be relieved, because it’s tuesday. More to come on my tuesday theory in a seperate blog. I just put on ‘One Mic’. We live in a time where there are millions of stories being told every instant but who is really listening? Jay-Z said “do you fools listen to music or do you just skim through it?”. I apply that to life. Any lesson is valuable at any moment in your life. Everything is related. When you are in pain the world is in pain and when the world is in pain so are you. Happiness can only come from knowing you’ve done your best to make things easier for all. We’re so blessed just to live despite whatever curses or afflictions we’re faced with. Thomas thoughts? I wrote to start a verse recently ‘My only attitude is gratitude’.
